The Emergency Department is open 7 a.m to 10 p.m. daily for life-threatening or serious health concerns. If you need emergency care outside opening hours, you can visit Royal Jubilee Hospital or Victoria General Hospital.
Saanich Peninsula Hospital provides many health services in one place. You can come here for emergency care, to have a baby, or for surgery. If you need to stay overnight, we offer inpatient care to support your recovery. We also provide lab tests, X-rays and scans, and appointments with specialists. Whether you are attending for urgent care or a planned visit, we are here to help to you get the care you need.

Visiting Hours
Each hospital unit has different visiting hours.
Please call the hospital location and connect with the specific unit the patient is in to confirm hours prior to visiting.
Parking
Street Meters: $0.25 for 10 minutes
Surface Lot Parking Machines:
- $1.25 for each hour
- $10.00 maximum per purchase of up to 24 hours
- $10.00 for 24 hours
- $26.75 for a weekly permit (purchase at parking machines)

BC Transit: Take the #81 to Mt. Newton and get off at the driveway entrance or front door. Please check the bus schedule for the times the drop off is at the front door.
Family Caregiver permits are available at no charge - one permit per family and it may be shared. These permits are only for resident families of residential (long term) care facilities.
Financial Hardship permits may be available on a case by case basis. Please talk to your Unit Social Worker for more information.
