Port Alberni - Adult Substance Use Services Team

Provides information, education, support and treatment for people affected by or at risk of developing alcohol and other drug-related difficulties.

Access Services

Intake provides a timely, single point of entry for all Port Alberni Mental Health and Addiction services.

Services Provided

• Screening and orientation
• Assessment
• Referral
• Individual and group treatment - Clients are served primarily through groups.  A variety of groups are offered during the week and clients are assigned to them according to their treatment goals
• Works closely with all other Mental Health and Substance Use Services other relevant Island Health services, probation, Child, Youth and Family Health and other community agencies
