Understanding Long-Term Care Fees

Long Term Care rates for long term care clients are based on your previous year’s tax assessment. Upon admission to a long term care facility, the Case Manager will complete a financial assessment and determine a monthly billing rate. The rate is forwarded to our office for monthly billing.

If your financial circumstances have changed and you require a rate review, contact the Home and Community Care case manager at the Community Care office.

Facilities Operated by Island Health 

Preauthorized payments by credit card or bank withdrawals can be set up by requesting a payment form by emailing the Billing department for long term care at revenueltcbilling@islandhealth.ca.

Facilities Not Operated by Island Health

For those long term care locations not operated by Island Health, all billing enquiries should be made using the telephone number listed for that location.
