Long-term care rates are based on your after-tax income from your most recent Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) Notice of Assessment.
When you enter long-term care, a case manager completes a financial assessment to determine your monthly rate and forwards that rate to our office for billing.
Rates are set and adjusted annually by the Ministry of Health. Even if your circumstances stay the same, the amount you pay may change on January 1.
