Before submitting an application for research ethics review, please familiarize yourself with the application process outlined below by exploring the links and pages listed.
Complete the tutorial TCPS 2: CORE (Course on Research Ethics)
The requirements are available here and apply to all members of the research team, including medical staff, students, residents and research staff. If you have completed the tutorial at another institution you do not need to complete it again. Principal Investigators should confirm they have completed it, and that all team members have also done so. If you need help accessing the tutorial or have queries or for further info regarding training requirements, please contact Tracy Wong, Research Quality Assurance Specialist at Tracy.Wong@islandhealth.ca.
Where to submit an application
Single jurisdictional (a study is only at Island Health, all affiliations are at Island Health)

When submitting an application, please note that the Research Services Portal does not auto-save and will time out after two hours. Please be sure to press the save button often, as there is no way for our team to recover lost work.
