Intake - Screening and Referral Services
Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services in the Oceanside area are accessed through Island Health Intake Services. Intake provides a timely, single point of entry for all Oceanside Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services.

Services Provided
Community Response Team (CRT):
Provides urgent response for adults who may be suicidal, or in a psychiatric crisis. Can connect you to further services.
Substance Use Outreach:
Provides information, education, harm reduction, support and treatment for people affected by or at risk of developing alcohol and other drug-related difficulties. Can connect you to other services.
Adult Community Support Services (ACSS): Provides support for those with severe and persistent mental health diagnoses. Transitional case management/Case management, Early Psychosis Intervention, Groups, Clinical involvement with Oceanside HOST (Homeless Outreach Support Team) and access to Regional Clinical Psychologist.
Adult Short Term Assessment and Treatment (ASTAT): Provides a solution-focused model of therapy, prioritizing the mental health goals identified by the client, working towards empowerment, self-advocacy.
Increased stability and wellness.
Individual and Group short term therapy (6-8 sessions)
Intake for access to Psychiatrist.
