The nursing station and common areas are situated in the center of the building. The grounds are groomed and the foliage is mature. There are sidewalks running around the perimeter of the building for residents who are able to walk outdoors.
Amenities include a lounge area with a large screen TV and a small library. Our hairdresser visits weekly and a foot care nurse comes to the facility regularly to provide her services to those that require them. We are also pleased to offer the services of a fully equipped Dental Hygenist who provides specialized oral care for our residents. We have a lovely outdoor courtyard area where many folks enjoy afternoon tea when the weather is warm.
We are situated across the road from the Superstore and Woodgrove Mall is less than a kilometre away. The city bus stops at the end of the driveway. There is a plaza next door that has a Subway restaurant, Starbucks, plus numerous other small shops.
Woodgrove Manor offers a communion service once a month and Hymn Sing twice a month. There is an Eccumenical Center/Catholic Church next door.
Woodgrove Manor is dedicated to the provision of quality care and services, which recognizes the right to self determination, dignity, privacy and optimum quality of life for all residents.
We have three units that are shared, the rest are private. We accommodate couples in the larger style rooms. All rooms have a private four-piece bathroom and a small patio with a sliding door. There is ample closet space and all rooms have hook-ups for cable and telephone. There is call bell system in the bedroom and bathroom so assistance can be summoned when needed.
Residents pay up to 80% of their after-tax income which covers the cost of food and accommodation.
Our Activity Coordinator is in the facility Monday to Friday to keep our residents stimulated and involved. Each morning is started with Sit and Get Fit classes. Word games, Bingo, Happy Hour and live entertainment are offered throughout the week.
There are no stairs or elevators in the building. The hallways are extra wide to provide ample room for walkers and wheelchairs.
Not indoors, but our policy is flexible and may be allowed depending on the skill of the operator.

Provincial policy requires all visitors to be informed: "Violence, foul language and abusive behaviours are not acceptable. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and may result in removal from this facility and/or prosecution."
