Access to subsidized long-term care (LTC) is coordinated by Island Health staff.

2 Floors of LTC (40 units per floor) as well as 3 cottages of 10 beds each.
There are also 40 Independent Living units.

Model of medical care/Physician organization
We currently have a mixed model of medical care with both LTC home physicians and community physicians who follow their residents into LTC.
Beds in single occupancy rooms: 110
- 80 in the main facility as well as 3 cottages of 10
Residents pay 80% of their after-tax income up to a maximum rate. This covers the cost of food, cleaning, laundry, accommodation, and subsidized care.

Non-smoking facility but can be arranged to leave home to smoke if assessed as safe.
Locked units (with access code).
Multiple spiritual care services available.
Parking is available.
As this is the residents’ home, visiting hours are open to family and friends.

During viral respiratory illness season (typically December - March), we follow the Provincial Health Officer’s direction to help protect residents from respiratory illness.
Provincial policy requires all visitors to be informed: "Violence, foul language and abusive behaviours are not acceptable. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and may result in removal from this facility and/or prosecution.”
