Island Health's Cultural Safety Online Course
Public Access Now Available
The online Cultural Safety Training, “Seven Generations,” developed by Island Health’s Indigenous Health Program is now available for the public.
The course is a 6 hour, self-paced, non-facilitated course and is intended to improve health outcomes for present and future generations of all Indigenous people living within the Island Health service area.
Important: There may be aspects of this on-line training that bring up uncomfortable feelings about Canada’s collective history and the current social realities facing many Indigenous Peoples. We encourage all learners, if needed, to arrange appropriate support before commencing this module.
