This service may help if ongoing pain is affecting your:

  • Relationships
  • Work or school
  • Quality of life

How to get started

  1. You need a referral from a primary care provider. 
  2. Talk to your family doctor or nurse practitioner about whether the Pain Program may be right for you. Health-care providers can find the appropriate form in the referral section.

What to expect

You will work with the pain team to set realistic goals based on your needs. Your care may include appointments, treatment recommendations and education classes.

Depending on your needs, you may meet with one or more team members, including:

  • Doctors
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists
  • A psychologist or psychiatrist
  • Occupational therapists
  • Physiotherapists
  • A social worker
