New substance use service at Royal Jubilee Hospital helps patients in crisis
Adults experiencing significant substance use challenges now have access to a new, dedicated inpatient service at Royal Jubilee Hospital (RJH).
An eating disorder is a complex mental illness involving relentless unhealthy thoughts and behaviours towards food, weight and body shape. Community-based eating disorder services provide collaborative treatment approaches for youth, families and adults.
Services for South Vancouver Island residents are provided by the Ministry of Children and Family Development. A referral is required from your primary care provider.

Serving residents of Shawinigan Lake, Duncan, Chemainus, Lake Cowichan, North Cowichan, Mill Bay and Ladysmith.

Child and youth services are provided through Child and Youth Mental Health team (CYMH). No referral is required to access CYMH Youth Eating Disorder Services.
Serving residents of Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Oceanside, Alberni Valley and the West Coast. Referrals are required from a primary care provider.
