PARTY Program logo banner

The P.A.R.T.Y. (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth) Program is an injury awareness and prevention program that aims to provide students with reality-based education outlining preventable injuries.

Health care professionals and community members share firsthand experiences and provide students with strategies for mitigating risk. The importance of making smart informed choices is discussed and students are given tools to make those choices, as well as shown the consequences that can occur as the result of poor decisions. All injury prevention information is presented with a trauma informed lens and incorporates the themes of Empowerment, Coping, Resilience and Hope.

The P.A.R.T.Y. Program was originally developed in 1986 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto, Ontario and remains a vital component of the growing community effort to reduce death and injury in alcohol, drug and risk-related crashes and incidents.
