Since December 2020 over 550 volunteers across Vancouver Island have stepped up to help make the vaccination experience the best it could be for every community member who walked through the doors. Over the past eight months these volunteers gave close to 29,000 hours of their time, greeting clients with a smile, providing directions, and engaging in conversation. In this video hear Victoria Schmid, Vice President, Pandemic Planning, deliver her personal message of thanks to Island Health volunteers, speaking about the difference they have made at the vaccination clinics, to our communities, and to her own family.
