Drug checking is a harm reduction service that helps people make informed decisions about unregulated substances before they use.

Island Health operates or funds a range of services for substance use detox, treatment and supportive recovery.

Provides consultative psychiatric care to patients in areas that typically experience long wait times or do not have access to local psychiatry services.

YT5 (Youth Tier 5) provides integrated service to youth primarily 13-18 years of age who have multiple and complex needs related to persistent and significant substance use and mental health challenges. 

Get medication and support to reduce opioid cravings, prevent withdrawal and lower the risk of overdose.

Screening, assessment, and individualized treatment plans are available for adults aged 19 and older who are experiencing moderate to severe mental health and substance use challenges.

Team-based care and recovery services provide person-centered care to individuals experiencing severe mental health and/or substance use issues.
