Outpatient Nutrition Services

Registered Dietitians, working with individuals and groups, provide nutrition counselling and self-management support to help clients address their health problems including:

  • Blood disorders, e.g., anemia
  • Unintentional weight loss
  • Celiac disease
  • Chronic disease
  • Dysphagia
  • Eating disorders
  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, diverticular disease, crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis
  • Liver disease
  • Early stage kidney disease
  • Heart health
  • Lung disease (e.g. COPD, cystic fibrosis, asthma)
  • Healthy eating

Community health services

Patients eligible or already connected with Community Health Services for nutrition counselling (seniors, homebound, palliative patients, patients already receiving services with Home and Community Care)

Diabetes education centres

Diabetes education centres support type 1, 2 and gestational diabetes.

Eating Disorders Clinic

Patients must:

  • Have a diagnosed eating disorder such as Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Bulimia Nervosa (BN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), or Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED)
  • Be working with a counsellor or therapist

Referrals must be completed by a physician, nurse practitioner, pediatrician, or psychiatrist.

Chronic renal failure

Kidney care locations.

Patients referred to, or followed by, a nephrologist (e.g., Stage 3-4 or GFR <30)

General cancer and oncology

Inspire Health - supportive cancer care including free registered dietitian counselling.
