Home oxygen support

If you need oxygen at home, this program may help cover the cost of your equipment. A doctor must apply for you, and you must meet the medical requirements. A respiratory therapist will assess your needs and help you use the right amount of oxygen.

When to choose this service

This program may help if you need extra oxygen at home because of:

• Asthma
• Emphysema
• Chronic bronchitis
• A work-related lung disease
• Lung cancer
• Cystic fibrosis
• Congestive heart failure

Am I eligible?

You must meet the Home Oxygen Program’s medical eligibility requirements to receive funding.  Review the criteria. 

How to access this service

1. A doctor or nurse practitioner must complete and sign a Home Oxygen Program application for you.

2. The completed application is sent directly to an approved Home Oxygen Program oxygen supplier.
