If scheduled care: check your appointment details (where to go, when to arrive, and any prep like fasting). Need to change your appointment? Contact the clinic that booked it.
- Bring the following:
- BC Services Card or identification card
- Appointment details
- List of medications
- Glasses, hearing aids, or mobility aids
- Something to pass the time

What to expect: during your visit
- Check in when you arrive (front desk or clinic)
- You may need to wait—times can change based on patient needs
- Your care team will explain what will happen and answer questions
- You may be asked questions about your health and medications
- You may be asked if you identify as Indigenous. Answering if always your choice. This information helps us offer culturally safe care and connect you with supports if you choose.
- Tests, exams, or treatments will be explained before they happen
- A support person may be allowed, depending on the care area
- Animals are not allowed, except certified assistance dogs. Approved therapy animals may be allowed in some areas.
Ask for help with mobility, language, or other needs when you arrive—or call ahead.
