NSWOC Clinic
The Royal Jubilee Hospital NSWOC Clinic provides outpatient ostomy services, in addition to inpatient ostomy support and complex wound and continence consultations at RJH & VGH. The clinic is staffed by NSWOC certified nurses (Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy & Continence).
How to get a Referral
Outpatient ostomy services can be requested from clients, family members, community nurses, physicians and allied health providers by calling the clinic directly at 250-370-8235.
Inpatient referrals are accepted from attending physicians and Allied Health team members electronically by ordering consult to wound/ostomy/continence nurse.
The Royal Jubilee NSWOC Clinic is located in Clinic 3, Diagnostic & Treatment (D&T) Centre. Enter the D&T building via the Main Entrance, beside Emergency. Pass the Patient Information Desk, and then turn left down the vaulted corridor of outpatient clinics. Clinic 3 is located on the main level.

If you require assistance with your ostomy, or have questions about your procedure or appointment time, please contact the NSWOC Clinic at 250-370-8235.
Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Closed weekends and statutory holidays
- Expect to spend approximately one hour at the clinic. Parking options are limited, so make sure to plan extra time to find parking if you are driving.
- Unless indicated by the specialist, there is generally no preparation required.
- If possible, please bring a current medication list.
- If you have limited mobility and require extra assistance to ambulate, change clothes and/or for toileting, please ensure that a caregiver accompanies you to your visit (if possible).
- Virtual Interpreting Services are available. Bringing a family member or friend to assist with translation can also be helpful.
After Your Visit
- A follow up appointment may or may not be required. The NSWOC nurse will provide direction for your care.
