If you are pregnant and looking for prenatal classes, birth preparation or support in your community.

How to get started

  1. Fill out a short form to get help finding prenatal classes and supports near you.
  2. A public health nurse will contact you.

What to expect

  • A public health nurse may offer one-to-one or group teaching.
  • You may also be offered pregnancy and parenting resources, and connections to local services.
  • Some classes may offer bursaries to help with costs
  • Classes may cover pregnancy, labour and birth, breastfeeding, baby care, infant safety and early parenting.
  • For First Nations community members, your community health worker may be able to help you find classes and support.
