Island Health COVID-19 outbreak updates

Island Health has declared three outbreaks over. No new outbreaks have been declared.

Outbreaks declared over:

Sunridge Place long-term care home in Duncan

In total, 23 resident cases and two staff cases were attributed to this outbreak.

Sunridge Place is owned and operated by Park Place Seniors Housing.

Sluggett House long-term care home in Brentwood Bay

In total, seven staff cases and two resident cases were attributed to this outbreak.

Sluggett House is owned and operated by Beacon Community Services.

The Heights at Mt. View long-term care home in Victoria

In total, three resident cases and one staff case were attributed to this outbreak.

The Heights at Mt. View is owned and operated by Baptist Housing.

Staff are to be commended for continuing to deliver high quality, compassionate care while diligently following outbreak protocols.

Outbreak protocols will now be ended at the sites. Enhanced infection prevention and control measures and monitoring of residents, patients and staff for symptoms will continue.
