The Gorge Road Hospital at 63 Gorge Road East in Victoria has been re-named the Gorge Road Health Centre. The new name more accurately recognizes the variety of health-care services provided at the Centre - primary and ambulatory care as well as rehabilitation and long-term care services.
The Gorge Road Health Centre is currently home to 108 long-term care residents. It also has 70 inpatient restorative health beds, administrative and support programs, and the Gorge Urgent and Primary Care Centre that opened in September 2022.
Signage at the site and islandhealth.ca webpages will be updated with the new name.
