Victoria Diabetes Care Centre

We offer initial and follow-up appointments in person, virtually, and over the phone to adults and youths (aged 18 - 25 ) with diabetes. You are welcome to bring a friend or family member with you to appointments.

Victoria Pediatric Clinic

Services include diabetes education for children (up to their 18th birthday) and their families. It is expected that a parent/guardian attends appointments.

Diabetes in Pregnancy Clinic

This program provides education and nutrition counselling to pregnant people. We offer initial and follow up appointments.

The program provides education and nutrition counseling to women with gestational diabetes (GDM) or pregnant women with Type 1 or 2 diabetes. Services offered include pre-conception counseling for women with Type 1 or 2 diabetes as well as counseling for women at risk for GDM (examples include previous GDM, high prenatal weight gain, twins, BMI, PCOS, etc.)

Services include nutritional counseling, a free blood glucose meter, consultation with an endocrinologist (when needed), and prompt initiation of insulin on an outpatient basis (if required).

Individual Appointments

Please consider bringing the following to your appointment:

• Blood glucose log book
• A three day food record
• Current list of medications (including timing and insulin dose amounts)
• Prescription for any new diabetes medication
• List of questions, concerns and/or goals
