November 1 time change: What you need to know

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Keep your appointment as planned

Use the appointment time your clinic gave you by phone, text, email or letter. You don’t need to call to confirm. If your appointment changes, your care team will contact you.

What’s happening?

B.C. has moved to year-round Pacific Coastal Time. Clocks won’t go back on November 1, 2026.

  • Some phones and computer calendars may still follow the old rules and move times back by one hour.

  • This could affect appointments on November 1 and afterward.

  • Your calendar may have already shifted the time of a future appointment.

Which appointment time should I use?

Start with the time your clinic provided by phone, text, email or letter.

  • If you add your appointment to a phone or computer calendar, check that it shows the same time.

  • If the calendar shows a different time, follow the original appointment information from your clinic.

Do I need to call my clinic?

No. You don’t need to call to confirm because of the time change. Keep your appointment as planned. Your care team will contact you if your appointment changes.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these changes.
