Sidney — In order to ensure reliable, consistent acute and outpatient laboratory service, Island Health has made the decision to temporarily pause walk-in services at the Sidney Satellite outpatient lab located at 2357 James White Blvd effective August 24 to September 2, 2022.
This does not affect people with booked appointments or people dropping off samples.
We acknowledge the inconvenience of this temporary change and appreciate people’s patience as we work to support acute and outpatient services. During this temporary reduction, patients requiring walk-in outpatient lab services can attend Saanich Peninsula Hospital (8 km away) or the LifeLabs location in Sidney at 2475 Bevan Avenue (0.5 km away).
It is expected that the Sidney Satellite lab will resume walk-in operations on September 6, 2022.
