In order to ensure reliable, consistent acute, emergency and inpatient laboratory service, Island Health has made the decision to temporarily close the Campbell River outpatient lab located at North Island Hospital, Campbell River to walk-in patients on Saturday, October 15.
Inpatient lab work, emergency sample collections and sample drop off will continue during normal Saturday hours, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
We acknowledge the inconvenience of this temporary change and appreciate people’s patience as we work to support acute, emergency and inpatient services. During this temporary reduction, patients requiring walk-in outpatient lab services can attend the LifeLabs location in Courtenay.
The Campbell River outpatient lab will resume walk-in operations on October 17, 2022.
