Campbell River COVID-19 testing centre temporarily closed due to weather

Island Health has closed the Campbell River COVID related facility today due to snow and power outages.

A power outage is impacting operations at our COVID testing and collection site on 1358 Marwalk Street. As a result we are closing today’s clinic. All individuals with booked COVID-19 tests are being contacted by Island Health’s call centre to reschedule.

If you require testing, and are unable to get tested today, please do not go to an emergency department for testing. Stay home, avoid contact with others and continue to self-isolate until you get your test and results, and then follow the self-isolation period recommended for your result. This important step helps reduce the spread of COVID-19. If you develop severe symptoms, such as difficulty breathing (e.g. struggling to breathe or speaking in single words) or chest pain, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest Emergency Department.

For more information see the BCCDC Self-Isolation and Self-Monitoring page.

We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to maintain the health and safety of our patients and staff.
