Island Health is informing the community that outpatient lab services will temporarily be unavailable at the Ladysmith Community Health Centre due to water damage caused by a burst pipe.
Due to the water damage, the lab area is not useable and needs to be temporarily closed until further notice to allow remediation and restoration work to take place.
Island Health has shifted resources to the lab at the Chemainus Health Care Centre. The Chemainus lab is open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (closed 12 - 12:30 p.m.) Monday to Friday. Information on booking an appointment can be found here.
Patients in need of lab services can also go to the LifeLabs location at the Coronation Mall in Ladysmith.
