Island Health COVID-19 outbreak updates

Island Health has declared four outbreaks over.

Outbreaks declared over:

James Bay Care Centre long-term care home in Victoria

In total, 13 resident cases and four staff cases were attributed to this outbreak.

James Bay Care Centre is owned and operated by Revera.

Woodgrove Manor long-term care home in Nanaimo

In total, nine resident cases and six staff cases were attributed to this outbreak.

Woodgrove Manor is owned and operated by Trillium Communities.

Dufferin Place long-term care home in Nanaimo

In total, 43 resident cases and two staff cases were attributed to this outbreak.

Dufferin Place is owned and operated by Island Health.

Arrowsmith Lodge long-term care home in Parksville

In total, eight resident cases and 17 staff cases were attributed to this outbreak.

Arrowsmith Lodge is owned and operated by Arrowsmith Health Care Society.

Staff are to be commended for continuing to deliver high quality, compassionate care while diligently following outbreak protocols.

Outbreak protocols will now be ended at the sites. Enhanced infection prevention and control measures and monitoring of residents and staff for symptoms will continue.
