Volunteer at Trillium Lodge

About Trillium Lodge

Trillium Lodge, located in Parksville, opened July 1982. Trillium has 75 complex care beds which include one respite bed and 6 transitional care beds. These beds provide for the needs of local residents who require additional recuperative time following illness or surgery before returning home, or who are awaiting future placement in a long term care facility.

Volunteer Opportunities

Gardeners

Times are flexible and seasonal. We need volunteers to help with the herb garden and the hanging baskets as well as for care, maintenance and gardening projects and gardening activities with residents.

Rehab Mobility Program

Times are flexible. We are looking for volunteers to support our Golden Gears biking program and Therapy Walkers program for our long-term care residents.

Friendly visitors

Volunteers of all ages, looking for one-on-one social contact with residents, are always welcome. We have a particular need for male visiting volunteers to provide companionship to our male residents. We are also in need of volunteers willing to visit evenings and weekends.
