Built in 1963 with ongoing upgrades to improve comfort and safety for our residents and staff. Space is 7600.17 square metres, wood frame construction. Three floors, each with individual gardens and green space.
Three family quiet rooms, walking gardens, tranquil wheelchair accessible courtyard on each floor, hairdressing services and food prepared on site.
Beautiful residential neighbourhood, walking distance to ocean, parks, shopping plaza. On bus route with stop directly in front of main entrance.

135 rooms in a complex care facility with predominantly shared accommodation.
Residents pay up to 80% of their after-tax income which covers the cost of food, 24 hour nursing care and accommodation.
Special Recreational Opportunities
There is a regular schedule of monthly unit programs available to all residents. These are designed to meet different social, creative, physical, spiritual, and cognitive needs and interests of the residents.
The Recreation Therapist and Rehabilitation Assistants will work with you to plan for and offer a variety of in house weekly programs / special events and community outings. The daily and monthly programs are posted on the units white boards and in each resident room.
Elevators access all floors. There are no areas in the building that are not accessible to residents/visitors using wheelchairs. Bathroom space is somewhat limited but has been satisfactory. Bedroom space for mobility equipment such as wheelchairs, especially power wheelchairs, can be limited. All public entrances are accessible with automatic doors.
Motorized Scooter Policy
Scooters are not allowed to be stored in the facility. Residents may use scooters, only if stored away from the facility and brought in when needed to go out in the community. Power wheelchairs are permitted upon meeting assessment requirements.
As per Island Health policy. Regular visits by approved pet therapy animals.

Smoking and vaping is not permitted on any Island Health property. This includes all buildings, grounds and parking lots.

Provincial policy requires all visitors to be informed: "Violence, foul language and abusive behaviours are not acceptable. Verbal threats or acts of violence will not be tolerated and may result in removal from this facility and/or prosecution."
