Additional Information

Rethink Breast Cancer

Rethink Breast Cancer connects young women to a network of support

Rethink provides peer support for young women with breast cancer. Connecting with a group of supportive women who've "been there" and offering empathy, information and sense of community they need throughout their diagnosis, treatment and recovery.

The original website, breast cancer now what was developed by a group of young B.C. women who have been through breast cancer and struggled to find the support they needed to parent their children, talk with their partners, find support for themselves and loved ones in dealing with their diagnoses and make treatment decisions that possibly affected their fertility.

Receiving psychosocial support before, during and after cancer treatment is recognized by health professionals as an essential component of healing. The website creators knew there was a need for emotional support in a caring, safe environment and a huge opportunity to assist other young women.
