Our Logo & its Artist

The Island Health Indigenous Recruitment & Retention logo was developed in 2011 to signify the commitment to Island Health's vision for the future. Our Eagle, or Yuxwule' logo, is prominent on all of our Indigenous recruitment materials and promotional items.

The eagle is the power of the Great Spirit who has a divine strength of character with focused attention and healing powers. It is a symbol of grace and beauty
with a connection to the concept of perfection and the divine.
